Perfect life

Looking in my eyes, the child asked
‘Tell me what will I find’.
‘Delights of this world are many’
I started to describe.

Naked trees are searching
For a cover of green
Rain clouds are angry
Daily tantrums they throw
Gentle air is coughing
Her battle lost with fumes
Silly butterflies keep dancing
Coaxing plants for elusive blooms
The Sun of pale complexion
Diesel invertors are their competitors
Tarnished rivers shine in glee
Tahitian pearl is now their sheen.

‘What do I tell you about this life
We worked hard to create

a perfect one for humankind.’
